Empowering the Next Generation

The Nyota Fund is a state-sponsored Youth Capital Allocation scheme managed by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy & Sports.

Overview of the Fund

Nyota Fund Kenya represents the flagship development initiative designed to bridge the capital gap for micro and small youth-led enterprises. Our mission is to accelerate job creation, provide seed assets, and enable local youth councils to implement community development goals.

Through state-backed guarantees, applicants receive processing clearance into micro-allocation brackets, facilitating payouts via M-Pesa immediately after registrar validation.

Eligibility & Application Requirements

The program is structured to be fast and accessible. The primary eligibility requirements include:

  • Must be a Kenyan citizen with a valid National ID Number.
  • Aged between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Must have a registered M-Pesa phone line linked to their National ID.
  • Describe a clear funding purpose (business setup, educational fees, or bills/top-ups).

All allocations are configured as grants, meaning they do not attract interest, but require a small one-time processing validation fee dynamically calculated by the database tier.
